About HBAJ
Since 1955
Established in 1955, the Home Builders Association of Jackson (HBAJ) is the voice of the building industry, dedicated to preserving and protecting the American Dream of Home Ownership. The HBAJ promotes professionalism while providing education and membership support.
The association is comprised of 101+ members. A hard copy of our Membership Directory & Buyers Guide is available upon request—it offers listings of professionals in the building industry. You may also search for members on-line, either by name or trade category. Our association promotes the use of licensed and insured contractors.
However, it is the sole responsibility of any person contracting with any entity to ascertain that entity has a current valid license, if necessary, and current valid policies of insurances whether the same by Workers’ Compensation and/or Commercial General Liability. The Home Builders Association of Jackson, Inc. makes no representation that any person, partnership, corporation, or any other entity listed on this website has in current effect any necessary policies of insurance or any necessary licenses that are currently valid.
It is the responsibility of the consumer to “LOOK FOR THE LICENSE.” Ask any contractor you are considering to show you his/her license, issued by the State of Michigan’s Department of Consumer & Industry Services. You should also ask for proof of liability and workers’ compensation insurance.
